Bruno Fernandes works in the areas of leadership, strategy, and people management, researching and developing models to conceive and implement strategies through people management processes – particularly, competency-based management models. He holds a doctorate in Business Administration from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP), with a sandwich doctorate at Cambridge University, England; a master's degree in administration from UFPR and a bachelor's degree in administration from FEA-USP. Bruno is a full-time professor at Fundação Dom Cabral and works in the Professional Master's and Doctoral programs in Administration, and in in-company programs, especially intervention projects, in institutions such as: Alpargatas (apparel industry, with brands like Havaianas), ANA (Brazilian National Water and Sanitation Agency), ANP (Brazilian Gas and Oil Agency), AstraZeneca (Pharmaceuticals), Central Bank of Brazil, Braskem Petrochemical (18th Chemical firm in the World, 2022), Caixa Bank (among the five biggest Brazilian banks), CCR Infrastructure (one of the biggest in Latin America), Coamo Agribusiness (biggest cooperative in Latin America), Embraco/Whirlpool, Fiat (Power Train), Gerdau Steel, GVT Telecom, Gol Airlines, Incepa Ceramics/Grupo Roca, IRB Brasil-RE, Klabin Paper, Kraft Foods, Souza Cruz/British American Tobacco, Sotreq/Caterpillar, TAM Airlines, Telecom Italia, Unilever, Usiminas Steel, Volvo, among others. He is the Associate Dean of Specialization Degree Programs at FDC. He is a visiting professor at Burgundy School of Business, France (since 2021), Woxsen University, India (Distinguished Professor, since 2022), Plymouth University, England (2011 and 2014), and Institute Superieur de Gestion (ISG), France (2012). He is a member of the board of national and international organizations in the areas of health and education. He was a professor and manager at institutions such as PUCPR (Dean of the School of Business and professor of the Doctorate in Administration from 2017 to 2023), Universidade Positivo (Vice-Rector of Postgraduate Studies, coordinator and professor of the Master's and Doctoral Program in Administration, among others, from 1999 to 2016).
