Virginia Izabel Oliveira is a professor of finance, and technical coordinator of the Specialization Program in business administration at Fundação Dom Cabral. She works with Active Methodologies such as Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Team Based Learning (TBL). She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil) / University of Cambridge (UK), and a M.Sc. in Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. She has taught in several programs at FDC and in organizations such as Grupo Queiroz Galvão, Hospital Sírio Libanês, Petrobras, Cerpo, Syngenta, Vale, among others. She is a former faculty member of Faculdades Integradas de Pedro Leopoldo, Faculdade Promove, Instituto Champagnat de Estudos Superiores, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Universidade Federal de Uberlândia and Universidade de Uberaba, all of them in Brazil. She is the author of the books 'Finanças Corporativas: Teoria e Prática Empresarial no Brasil' (Editora Campus) and  'Mercado Financeiro: Uma Abordagem Prática dos Principais Produtos e Serviços' (Editora Campus) and of numerous articles on international strategic alliances, organizational innovation and corporate finance.
